David Bawden has always been an avid reader and lover of all things fantasy and fiction, from novels by Asimov, Pratchett, Jordan, King and McAffrey to tabletop RPG’s such as D&D and Pathfinder and games like the Witcher and Mass Effect series, David has consumed fantasy in all it’s forms.

Having graduated University in 2011 with a degree in business and communications, David has had many hobbies and pursued many creative outlets including home brewing, playing the guitar and a short but successful stint as an award winning new comedian but after many years of trying to find his passion, David has returned to his love of fantasy fiction.

David is now in the process of writing his first, finished novel, ‘Sorrow’ – a fantasy western:

When her father is murdered, 16 year old Maddie Applin is determined to see those responsible for his death brought to justice. Setting out on a mission to unite the seven Magpies, legendary spell slingers from the old stories, Maddie will face betrayal, shocking revelations and ultimately a choice between revenge or redemption, all whilst coming to terms with her own mysterious connection to The Wild.

David also creates a weekly film podcast with his best friend, the Wreckfast Club which can be found wherever you get your podcasts.
